Hot Chocolate pie.
Taken from the Utilisima channel website. (I have a lot to say about that channel... but I'll just stick to the post this time XD).
Hot as in chili pepper hot, not as in warm hot... XD If you like to try new things, and love chocolate, you might want to give this one a try!
Ingredients:
Dough
Butter 150 g
Marzipan 50 g
Powdered sugar 3/4 cup
Salt 1 pinch
Vanilla extract a little splash
Almond extract a little splash
Egg 1
Egg white 1
Flour 3 cups
Filling
Chocolate 400 g
Chili pepper 1
Milk cream 350 cc
Butter 50 g
Egg 1
Egg yolks 2
Instructions:
To make the dough:
Whip the butter and marzipan together until you're sure there's no lumps left. Add salt and sugar and continue whipping.
Add vanilla and almond extract. Add the egg and then the flour. The resulting dough should not be overworked. Let it rest covered in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Roll the dough and cover a 24 cm pie mold with it. Refrigerate again. Cook in oven until white for 12 minutes at 180º C. Set aside.
To make the filling:
Heat up milk cream with sugar and chili until the first boil. Remove from heat immediately and pour on top of the chocolate that has been previously cut up in little pieces.
Let it rest for 1 min. so that the temperatures unify, then mix.
Add butter in cubes, the egg and egg yolks.
Sift and pour on top of the pre-cooked pie crust. Cook in oven for 15
min. more or less, at 140º C. Turn off the oven and let the pie rest inside for another
15 min. until cool.
Ingrid, this one's for you! <3
