Last friends ep.10 and Zettai kareshi ep.9
Ya! I watched both with subs! so here comes another wave of useless thoughts and ramblings! XD
LF ep.10:
Suri, you said "what a punk ass way to go out". I completely agree.
It was really out of character the way ruka reacted, it might be the first (and hopefully the last) writing inconsistency this show had, hehehehe. She might have cut him, give him a good whack in the back of the head (more damage) instead of such a lame sissy hit in his back with the lamp, knee his nuts, anything would have been more believable.
Some might say "but she was wounded in spirit", I say give me a break, she acted like a weak woman. Isn't it her whole issue that she's a man trapped in a woman's body? that just tells me the writers didn't know what to do with her character. It's not even a gender issue anymore, ruka's supposed to be a strong person, and even though strong people have their weaknesses... the ruka I know would have reacted more... how to put this... hero-like?
They fell into the cliché that a man's body is stronger than a woman's. Ruka's a sports girl, she's in good physical shape, "him" was powered by his craziness, but even with that, he wasn't fighting with his all (like he's with michiru) because the things ruka said before were still in his head and he's not attracted that way to ruka (I mean, enough to even go through the rape).
Still, my ruka came back after. Even crying inside the changing room at that store. Isn't it incredible though, that from one cut in her face takeru just knew? (and michiru didn't).
Let me now begin ranting about michiru. I've been thinking, some people are just born stupid, it's not their fault, it's not even something bad, they just are. Poor poor michiru is a stupid woman. She got bad luck with her family and "him" but she should have realized sooner that her friends (especially ruka) love her and will protect her no matter what (since she can't do it herself cause she's stupid, poor michiru XD). What I'm saying is... after all ruka's done for her, to her knowledge at the beginning of the eppy, she freaked and ran away just cause she found out ruka's true feelings for her? WTH is that? with not even a proper goodbye? ARG!!!!
Can't blame michiru for going back to her mother's place, but... going to "his" house, once again? COME ON!!!!!!!
For whatever reason, even a stupid person would have known better, even lab rats learn after getting zapped in conditioned response experiments! weren't all the beatings enough for michiru to learn to stay away from "him"? ARG!!!!!!!!!
So what happened to her next wasn't surprising at all. I was expecting another beating, another rape.
What made everything bearable to watch was that this time she made it clear (after the horrible stuff happened, but whatever, can't expect good timing to come from a stupid person) to "him" that she would let him destroy her in order to protect her friends. That her friends are now the most important people to her, that he's plummeted into just another villain in her heart. Which made him break down and decide to "end it all"... I gotta say... even though I know we're supposed to feel a little sympathy for him (cause he's a sick sick person after all) I felt good watching him cry.
I said it in the beginning, I'll say it again, if michiru was an intelligent woman she would have know that what he needed was professional help, not her. Heck, it's not even about intelligence, it's about empathy. Knowing, or even trying to understand other people's feelings. So, michiru was not only stupid, she was also self-absorbed. Because she couldn't see past her own dilemmas and be good to the people around her.
It's good to know she finally learned though.
Watching "him" hug that wedding dress drenched in his blood... a sad picture. But I still don't feel sympathy for him. Let's hope he does die.
Eri telling it like it is to "him", way to go eri!!!! although I think she was too soft... she still made her point. Have I said this enough?: there should have been more eri shown in all LF. More eri!!!!
She also telling ogurin to go back to his wife, makes me think the upcoming wedding has to do with them, instead of the ruka-takeru-michiru-"him" arch.
Now... Ruka coming out to her dad.
OMG. That had me in tears. THAT'S the brave ruka I love. Her dad: the best father in all of Japan. Period. Such a good man, no wonder ruka came out such a wonderful person.
When her family showed their support at the race... my heart was filled with warmth. That's a family, loving each other in the good times, in the bad times, accepting each other, wishing each other happiness. I get all sappy now.
What's gonna happen with takeru's issues? who knows... hehehehe...
So, michiru's betrayal's is leaving ruka, she's pregnant with that guys baby, and he dies?, how is this all going to end?
I can't watch the raws... I must wait for subs... must... wait... resist... somehow...
*sighs*
Zettai kareshi ep.9:
FUN FUN FUN! now that naito's more human-like it's sooooo much better!!!! It should have been like this earlier!!!!
He was cheeky with "ma-kun", sweet to riika, funny with what's-her-name (the other patissier) and the double dating was soooo funny! he's even charging for the massages!
Riiko finally starts to get her act together (and manage to go by a whole episode without annoying me).
Shouji... what a slip... giving the adversary a tip to win the competition... I hope he realizes he did it. Hehehehe. She should have used chuao chocolate (venezuelan) instead, she wouldn't have needed the cayenne pepper. XD
I feel sorry for mika... good luck finding a better man than "the perfect boyfriend"... ROTFL!!!
Uwaaaaaaaa... shouji told riika he loves her!!!!!!!!! and naito's circuit-heart breaks (when she reciprocates)!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!
The beginning of the end for naito! Can he say "scrap yard"? LOL!
Maaaaaaaa... it may end just like the manga... it's gonna be bitter-sweet.
Comments
I was about to say 11 is subbed, but no it's not. I forgot I watched it over TVU so I know the ending.
For the first time I'm not going to say Michiru was an idiot/stupid person. She had no intentions of going back to Sousuke, she only returned to give him his key and get her belongings. Granted she should have went with someone. I think that if you put the shoe on your foot, if this crazy ass lunatic just made a threat against your friends, the same friends he already beat up, you would try to protect them as well. In Michiru's case, she would sacrafice her life for them, the same way they have been doing for her. She's still an idiot in general but I don't considered her last move as stupid.
Let me try to explain the who Ruka thing like I did to Nela.
In America homosexuality is not big thing. Damn near 1/3 of the population is gay, but that's not the case in Japan. Here in America, if my best friend said she was gay I wouldn't care. If my best friend suddenly said she was gay and in love with me, I would distance myself from her. How do you expect your bestfriend to respond to you if you suddenly confessed you were gay and in love with her since the beginning?
Ruka, more or less, has been protrayed as a man in a womans body, but she's still a woman. I don't do motocross, but I am very althelic and stronger than the average female. I still can not over power a guy. I can beat guys fighting, but only because of speed, not strength. It's funny because while Sousuke was on top of Ruka I kept saying "Hit is ass with the lamp", but I wanted her to repeatedly hit him, not just once. And if you think about a pervious episode, Ruka damn near had a heart attack when her coach kissed her, and this was a guy she was friends with. Now she has this guy who she hates with a passion, more than a passion, on top of her, and "trying" to rape her. Her reaction was expected.
Michiru is still an idiot for not figuring out what happened between Ruka and Sousuke from the start. When does Ruka fall off her bike? Never, so it was only obvious that that was a lie, and Takeru knew it was.
ERI IS STILL THE BEST, and Ogurin is such a great comic relief.
I still say Sousuke's way of dying was so punkass, but if you think about it, it's more realistic. But where the hell did that wedding dress come from. That was a useless prop. He should have been holding the cup, since the entire show revolved around those cups.
Why couldn't they wait until Gong came home?
