Really random thoughts.
Since I don't have twitter I might as well write some in just one go here XD
- The Anna Sui 2009 fall-winter collection is great, I love it all.
- Why do people still use the word "surreal" so much? I hoped it was just one of those word-fads that come and go (like that time when everyone was a "Renascence" man/woman only because they did a few of things at the same time), but it really irks me when people use it for everything, I have the nonsensical feeling that every time someone missuses it the surrealist artists have seizures in their graves.
- Speaking of fashion and word usage, I was watching some fashion show after interviews, and there was some magazine editor and whatnot talking about what she thought of the show, she said it was surreal (yecch), and very Dancing with the Stars... what the hell, I could do a better job than that... she probably doesn't even know that what the do in DwtS is ballroom dancing... god. Which in term reminded me of a certain episode of absolutely fabulous where Patsy was having one of her moments trying to write notes from a fashion show, hilarious, and more so because it probably really is like that ("help me you bitch!" XD XD XD).
- I downloaded the Jeeves and Wooster soundtrack, it's awesome, the rar file had some bonus tracks ripped from the show like: forty seven ginger headed sailors (all the rage at Drones, and with Dog Macintosh as well) XD XD yes that's the name of that one track, anyway, I'm tempted to try and find the books sometime in the future.
- Speaking of which, bro said that HMV is like heaven, tons of movies on sale right now (he bought a lot as gifts for us, thank you bro!!!!!!!!!!!) in london, man... he also told me he spotted "the worst witch" dvd box set pretty cheap but forgot to go buy it, I could cry... oh well.
- Yesteday I put up a new curtain in my room, the one I had before literally desintegrated when put in the washer, anyway, the first one was very thin, this new one is rather thick, meaning my room is like a cave now XD XD XD but it's fine, the tropical sun is great and all, but all year round gets kind of boring and headache inducing.
- Also, I can't wait to watch tonight's (my time) VS arashi, I mean, gackt!?! it's gackt!!!!!! trice babe, it's potential food for "friends" I tell you!!!!!!!!!
- Oh, speaking of singers, in VH1 there was "the top ten all time female singers" on the other day and they showed whitney huston's How will I know, I was all "awwwwwwww" back in the day when she sang, and was normal, before the presence of bobby! hit her life XD XD XD
- Underwolrd rise of the lycans is available for download, but I don't know if I should, I mean, we actually buy vampire movies, specially when cool as the underworld series are (instead of pirated versions or dl I mean) so I'm pretty sure we're gonna buy it someday, but I really want to see it now... decisions decisions decisions LOL.
- Meanwhile, there's a mosquito here, and the bastard has bitten me everywhere, I'll get you mothaf~ I will.
Comments
For the VS, I heard the new yesterday. I'm planning on watching it. Though since I'm clueless, please tell me where I can find it with subs and what they do in that program. LOL XD
But the problem is I don't know where to post my random messages.
Since this is a random entry, and I am talking about a random topic, nor do I see a book tag, I'll comment here. Gomen ne.
I'm reading this new to me, old to others, series. The Author is Laurell K. Hamilton. Have you heard of her? (I haven't but I think I remember the comic Anita Blake: The Vampire hunter. She wrote that)
I was looking for some kind of ero/ecchi book. I wanted to read a ecchi story so I could use it as a guide for the ecchi parts of my story. The book was called "A Lick of Frost."
I read it yesterday, it was good, but I was confused about certain parts because it would refer to something that happened before, but it wasn't mentioned in the book. So after I finished it I googled it and thats when I found out it was actually a series, and the book I read was the 6th book. If you google "Merry Gentry" the books will pop up. So far 8 books are out and book 9 comes out this december.
To see if I really like this series (because I hate reading) I went to barnes and nobles today and bought the 1st book. I'm going to start reading it tonight, but I'm a hella slow reader. I mean it with all honestly. I read sooooo slllloooowww. It takes me more than 3 minutes to read one page.
I guess you can say the genre of the book is similar to HP and Twilight, Fantasy. The characters are mainly shee/faerie.
Anyway...the general idea of this comment is to recommend a book to you. You seem to like reading, and i think it's good. I liked the 6th book, was just confused as hell because I didnt know there were 5 other books before it.
If you read it let me know....or if you want to read it but cant find it, i'll ship them to you....one day....when I get my funds back up.
And this is saying a lot because my biggest dislike is reading. I Find it BORING AS HELL.
Never took notice of that author before, so I googled like you said. DAMN! I think I'm gonna look for the anita blake series first, if they're available here, if I could find it in english it would be awesome but most probably I won't, anyway, I read the wiki entries of those books and the merry gentry books, it all sounds very interesting! Yay! possible new fiction universe! Thanks for the heads up suri!!! *hugs*
So you liked it? is it ero, like, soft or explicit? XD well, I hope you found inspiration for your fics ne!
There is A HELL OF A LOT OF SKINSHIP. Oh my gosh. But in book sex there were only two sex scenes, 30 pages apart, and 165 pages into the book. I have the hardcover book, so that is 274 pages.
To the faerie, sex is just sex, nothing special about it. Merry has 16 guards and she sleep with all 16. In the 6th book she told the lawyers she has sex 3 times a day with two or more men each time. The sex scenes weren't very explicit in book six, but those two sex scenes were more than just sex scenes. It was more about character interaction and how they were expressing their self to the person they loved. Not to detailed, which sucked in my opinion.
But I like this series. Really interesting.
If you can't find anita blake in english I'll send them to you.
There's a Barnes and Nobles right next to my job and i get a discount there because my job has a membership with barnes and nobles.
In book SIX...not book SEX....IN Book SIX there were only two sex scenes.
I'm gonna go book hunting!
Oh and... book sex? ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! talk about freudian slips!!!!!!!! *hugs tight* that's my niece!!
In ever read review for books, but I would like to know where you read them.
I try to keep my kinky ecchi pervy sadistic side hidden, but occasionally it'll slip out and expose what I really am.
LOL! and that's why we're family.
Yeah.
I can understand some of the negative comments though. I'm a quater of the way into the book and she does appear to sleep with everyone, but as long as it stays consistent throughout the entire series I wont complain.
