This episode's guest: Matsuura Aya-san - who is currently acting with sho-kun in The Quiz Show -.
Man, it's been a long while since I've done this... anyway, I'm sure everyone else is gonna talk about the ohmiya love and all that XD XD XD, so this is my boring review...
I really felt for aiba-chan in this episode ROFL! Poor thing never registered with the guest even with all his efforts at beign nice with her XD XD XD Too funny!
Aya-san says that she feel you shoul not bite the noodles you eat because it would not be cool, because the noodle maker made them that long for us... which reminded me how I've heard it say that in Italy, it's considered in very bad taste to cut the noodles/pasta when you eat it, that's why you're supposed to eat it in a neat spiral wrapped around the fork in each bite. Cool huh? how certain things remain the same even though they come from totally different places.
Aya-san said she likes udon, so they prepared two dishes for her, first one:
shabu shabu udon? LOL! you put the paper-thin slices of meat on top of the noodles then add the soup so it becomes "shabu shabu" XD then add spring onion if you like it... looks good IMH
Second one was an "italian udon"... mmmmm... it really looks yummy (I love that flavor combination).
See how aiba-chan wants to score points with aya-san? XD it won't get him anywhere XD XD
Sho-kun slurping the udon... really funny.
Then aya-san says (among other things) that she must like the way her guy smells, otherwise the relationship won't last. I find this soooooooooooooo true. The boys find it wierd... boo... it's not, it's perfectly normal, don't underestimate the power of smell and how it affects everyone!
Honestly, would you stay in a relationship where the other party smelled like poop to you? I don't think so.
Anyway, they make a segment where aya-san sniffs everyone with her eyes closed... super funny.
To her, aiba-chan doesn't smell like anything... zero... (oh god aiba-chan... XD XD XD)
I KNEW JUN-KUN SMELLED GOOD!!! she says he smells flowery? like scented candles/a woman? I LOVE THIS BOY, there's another reason why he's my ichiban.
As I've said before, I don't believe that whole "man perfume/woman perfume" creed everyone adherers to, it's all a lie, who says mint is a "man" smell and rose is a "woman" smell? give me a break. It just refrains us from trying new things, from testing other things, if a woman wants to use chanel's egoiste she should. If a guy wants to wear Poison, he should.
Aya-san did not like how riida smelled. XD. what is it? the fish? LOL! It's my theory that aya-san is not a fan of musky scents, and riida probably smells musky. XD
Confrontation! she found out the one she liked the least was... aiba-chan! (because he smelled like nothing at all and she thought that was boring XD) Poor, poor aiba-chan ! XD XD XD

Arashi no Shukudai-kun 2009-01-26, guest: Sato Ryuta-san.
Cute jun-kun and ohchan standing a little too low at the back XD.
Uwaaaaa!!! The audience screamed a lot when the guest appeared ne, I guess they all liked "Rookies".
Sato-san wanted to eat ramen so they prepared 4 types, the first two:
they look yummy!
It seems like every one liked this guy ne (I did too... his role in Bambino! was great).
Tasting the second, HABANERO ramen... uwa! Sato-san actually turned red! riida's mouth went numb!
Sho-kun turned blind! Aiba-chan started to sweat buckets! ROTFLMAO! I love this.
The 3rd ramen was oishii, only a little too hot and Sato-san and sho-kun burned their lips, haha! Meanwhile poor aiba-chan continued to sweat. And the 4th ramen was... ice cream ramen? eh? I wonder how it tasted like... mmmmm...
Minna-san having fun, I like it when everyone has a good time on the set.
The zipper incident... LOL! ohmiya at its best.
The love confession, LOL!
I wonder, if i ever go to Japan and go eat at a family restaurant, would I run into Sato-san? The chances are high XD XD XD
A fun episode!
LOL! Random caps of arashi no shukudaikun 107 (credits to 赤い好き for the vid - THANK YOU GIRL! -) and Himitsu no arashi-chan 28 (credits to Haruno21@Livejournal!).
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........
Shrimp............
I don't have to say anything else.
And, You guys don't need me to tell you why I capped jun-kun... let's just say H_H is not enough smilie to begin to convey my thoughts.
And the record-breaking kids on himitsu...
Gosh... why are they laughing at the obese kids? It's not a laughing matter. Those poor kids are sick and need medical care, will probably need it for the rest of their lives (and that kid from Colombia probably won't get it -_-U)
I saw a special on the National Geographic channel on the muscle kid, he reminded me of the dragon ball kids... too much muscle for such a young age ne...
Meanwhile....
This kid can cry at will, and he's quick! Dude! Jun-kun! he's doing that Doumyouji scene better than you! He's putting you to shame! ROTFL!
Oh God... math...
This man... I also saw a special on him... he's bigger now... gosh... but I'm glad he's found love though.

So the guest (Sekai no Nabeatsu) asked to eat nabe, and the first one they bring out is steamed instead of boiled, plus, you eat it with crepes; you grab the veggies/meat you like, wrap them inside the crepe and dip the crepe in a sauce of your choice (if you want) or put the sauce inside... delicious!
Now, here's my reason for posting this:
They boys eating the crepes, don't they look like they're eating tacos? amiguis mexicanas: verdad que tengo razón??? XD XD XD
Plus, I always hear that when eating tacos, it's almost an art form not dirting yourself with the sauces ne, and people always end up with dripping at the other end of the taco from where they started to eat...
Which is exactly what happened to riida here!
Next was the weirdest nabe ever, was it sweet? or not? I don't know, but it had apples, bananas (still inside the skin) and riceballs filled with chocolate...
The third nabe has seefood, and mandarine...
XD
Thanks to sableheart for uploading it!
The guest were Higedanshaku, the pair that "abducted" tsukushi makino on that matsujun rabu rabu date himitsu special... remember them? XD
Anyway, the reason of this post: The sheer coincidence of it all. I posted a few days ago a food meme listing 100 thing people should eat before they die ne, and the food featured on this shukudaikun was... part of the list! XD
They ate foi gras, which I've also eaten.
Then they had beluga caviar with blini, I've had caviar, but not with blini though...
And lastly black truffle... with japanese rice? XD which I've never had.
This just makes me feel weirdly connected with them even more.

So, the girl disliked food with eggplant, pepper and tomato, and they brought out deserts.
It makes me think of the kind of food that is weird to some, but delicious to others, depending on the country you live on.
I've mentioned before, mainly in Chaix2's dailymotion account (you might remember ne? Chai2-san? XD), that for example, here in the americas beans are considered and eaten as "salty food", as main dish, stewed, with charcuterie and stuff like that, while, as we know, bean paste is a desert/sweet food in japan.
Well, while watching the girl eat the tomato desert I remembered a certain marmalade store here in my area, very famous throughout our country (and overseas, wherever they sell venezuelan food).
Mermeladas Catalina.
There, they make all kinds of marmalades, when I say all kinds I mean all kinds, XD.
I tried the tomato marmalade once, it was delicious.
Then I thought, yet again, about the stuff we eat here that might be considered weird by some. XD
What are arepas? here in venezuela we have pre-cooked corn flour. We make all kinds of food with this special flour, including arepas, which are round grilled cakes we eat as bread. My brother made them a bit sweet and fried them (another popular way of eating arepas).
He accompanied them with a guayava sauce (guava) made with red and white wine (from what I remembered he said), and a special cheese mixture (see the quenelle in the picture arepa dulce above), made with "telita" cheese (a type of white fresh cheese) and sweet peppers.
Did she say sweet peppers? LOL! yes, there's a variety of chile/pepper very popular here in my country that is sweet.
And I think it would make for very delicious/interesting deserts.
Now, for the eggplant, the girl liked the desert they had in shukudaikun ne. If I'm not mistaken she said that it actually tasted like apple. Well, there's another fruit/vegetable we have here in latinamerica that I was reminded of because of this.
Mum used to make "apple pie" without apples. She used chayota.
Because it tastes like nothing, when you boil it in a certain liquid, it will absorb the taste of said liquid, mum would buy apple juice (which was cheaper than buying real apples at the time XD) and cook the chayota inside it and then make a pie with that.
Chaaan! apple pie without apple!!!!
Now, for the rest of the episode... oh boy... slapstick comedy is tricky to do, if you don't do it right it looks just painful and sad... XD
Bless Ogu-san for giving it a try to!
I feel like I don't need to flail with the boys cause... everyone else will XD XD XD (like with the hypnotizing/chikubi thing, them falling down in the chair, ohchan acting like a kitty, and such)
KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! XD
Guest: Kanjiya Shihori (played Hinata Sara in HYD2).
She's cuter than I originally thought. Surprisingly, her normal look is way better than the sara character's. XD XD
Maybe it was the hair? I don't know. Anyway, I liked how she seemed completely relaxed throughout the show, ne.
They ate gyonza, her favorite. I'd like to try that too sometime in my life *sighs*
The sweet one tasted like... meatballs? somehow I doubt that... LOL! I can't trust arashi when it comes to flavors. If that makes me a bad fangirl so be it. ROTFL!
God, I wish I knew japanese... so I could understand all of what they say.
Anyway, from what other people have said: she likes the "sho" type, and really likes toned tanned male arms. Like the ones camera men have.
So they make an array of arms spread out before her, how kind (and somewhat kinky LOL!) and she takes her pick, no one knows which one belongs to ogu-san, and I can soooo totally guess which is sho-kun's.
The arms stretch, flex their muscles, do jankenpon, some flex with weights (and one poor soul can't even lift it at all).
She decides, her favorite is number 6.
GREAT taste the girl has.
The guys come out and they make her sit in a love chair with her selected guy. She's so funny when embarrassed.
Loved how the boys made light fun of her, pushing her and being all "brotherly like".
A fun episode.
Anyway... I still have so little to do and so much time...
Wait!
Strike that.
Reverse it.
Thank you.
I've been catching up on what I can of arashi's shows, and finally saw this one.
The food: yakisoba. Oichiiii!! LOL! it all looked great. Poor sho-kun, he wanted to be involved and actually make some yakisoba for the guests and ended up getting forgotten in the back. Alas! that's the life of people in the serving business, I'm sure he felt some sort of empathy for all those stand-chefs out there working on the streets. LOL!
OMG! the recreation jun-kun and the lady guest did. Hilarious! he was playing the "rough type" of guy that sent her heart doki doki, it sure did! They like to put jun-kun on the spot ne... but since he's been more easy-going lately, it's all fun!
Aibaland! so funny! I swear, again, a shukudaikun-theme party where the guests get to do the same baka stuff arashi and ogu-san do on the show would be awesome.
Agh! let's hope I can catch the show next week on TVU.
I had a bit of a problem figuring out the time, since I thought the difference between japan and here was of 24 hours, but it turned out to be 13 hours. So if they show shukudaikun on midnight monday, I'm supposed to be able to watch it that same monday but at 11 am. *knocks on wood*
I feel I must comment this: those polenta cakes topped with stuff... omg... they look soooooooo good.
It's actually a great idea for fancy party snack, or tapas.
Riida just can't handle the cue cards, can he? so cute.
Aiba-chan eating the red sauce that went with the nepalese cakes: LOL! jun hit him in the head!
Aibaland!
Oh boy... I'm still thinking of parties... actually the guess-what-it-is-with-your-ear game would also be good for a party. LOL! Aww... that was a bad decision nino! putting ice on ohchan's ear first... it's bound to go numb! but he still guessed the brush though, yokatta...
A shukudaikun themed party... would rock.
Another odoroki special! the mirror man will be back! aiba-chan should reflect on that idea.. get it? "reflect" get it? [gets hit with rotten tomatos] sumimasen sumimasen...
